THE FRIENDLY FINANCE STORY:

It all started in 1944 with a partnership between J.C. "Mose" Loftin and famed local retail titan, Howard Griffin.   A few years later, advertising guru Garland Shell nicknamed Loftin "Money Man Mose" and a legend was born.  "Money Man Mose" grew  Friendly Finance to become the premier locally owned finance company in Northeast Louisiana by offering the the highest level of personalized service to his clients and by being willing to help those that other lenders overlooked or turned away.  By the time Mose passed away in 1978, he had managed to buy out his old friend and partner, Howard Griffin, consolidating the Loftin family's ownership of the company.   Mose's oldest son, John G. Loftin, a Tulane Law graduate and licensed attorney and had been helping his father at Friendly since he was a teenager, so he was ready to step right in and take over the reins.  John was better know as "Sonny" to his friends and family which prompted Garland Shell to once again come up with an iconic nickname - "Money Sonny."  "Money Sonny" guided Friendly through the crazy times of the early 80's when the prime interest rate went to 20% and continued to grow the business and bring his own two sons, Jim and Robert, on board.  After nearly 30 years at the helm, "Money Sonny" sadly passed away in March of 2018.  His larger than life, fun loving personality cannot be easily replaced, but his sons are determined to continue the family tradition of Fast, Friendly, Personalized Service.  Please give Friendly a chance to say "YES."
